Annoying Microsoft IE8 advertisement? No….

Came across this stupid IE8 advertisement and struggles for almost a full minute (eternity in web browsing time) to get the stupid thing out of my way so I could see the actual page content.  So of course I had to show the world (or my small readership) just what a poor user experience it is.  The key here is that if you scroll off the add to the side it doesn’t go away like a normal roll-over add.  Anyways, enjoy, and thanks Microsoft.

Don’t think i’ve posted this on my blog yet.  It’s a work in progress but you’ll get the idea.  Still need a way to crystallize the inside to make it look like an ice cave.  Ideas?

Microsoft… Really guys??

So i installed the IE8 beta version since i saw it when installing live search…. It annoyed me greatly, caused 2 computer failures and was unistalled after 11 minutes of usage.

 1st, you’ll notice that at the top of the interface I there are two rows above the tabs- the livesearch bar and the links bar.  I couldn’t for the life of me get them onto the same line which is what annoyed me.  no matter what i tried it wouldn’t let me align them.

2nd, after playing Desktop Defense, which is an amazing game, for maybe 20 waves of enemies my entire computer just shut off…

3rd, after the Desktop Defense incident, while searching for instructions on how to unistall IE8 my computer froze up, with ONLY IE8 open, no other apps….

 Yes it was Beta, but how dissapointing it was… looks the same, but more annoyances.  Step it up Redmond.
